Trish Harleston Ministries Receives Award of Distinction

The Aura Galleria of Durham, NC hosted it's 2nd Annual "Our Mind, Our Voices" Luncheon and Celebration at the Millennium Hotel

On Saturday, April 28, 2018 in Durham, NC, Aura Galleria hosted its 2nd Annual "Our Mind, Our Voices" Luncheon and Celebration honoring local Women of Distinction.

As Aura Galleria Owner and Event Host, Gia Wilkerson-Peebles reflected upon the events of the day, she shared her sentiments, "As we gazed upon our honorees with pride with what they have accomplished, you couldn't help but feel the call to drive to be your best you."

Keynote speaker for this event was award-winning actress and star of Tyler Perry's "If Loving You Is Wrong" April Parker Jones. She delivered a speech that was grounded in tradition and rooted in the foundation of Durham. She encouraged the attendees to move past fears and move into excellence. Not only were the attendees amazed at her candid and genuine transparency, they were inspired by her story of overcoming. With the more than 200 guests in attendance at the event, Trish Harleston Ministries was honored to have been recognized in the category of Spirituality.

Mistress of Ceremony Catherine Williamson-Hardy was engaging and inspiring as well as amazingly stunning as she captivated the audience throughout the event. With vendors and other entertainment wrapping up the day, this annual event continues to gather the best in Durham to celebrate the work of women dedicated to the excellence of this community. Other awardees for the event included: Dr. Leslie Bronner, Cora Cole-McFadden, Minnin Forte-Brown, Dr. Camille Frazier-Mills, Tammie Hall, Dr. Ingrid Wicker-McCree and Amanda Williamson.
